“Well, since you where nice and allowed me to join the covenant I would like to clear any question marks I might have given you when I first joined, and then mainly that I got in a way help from the Lich King.
And just so I don’t create any more question marks let me take this from the beginning. “
As she says that she takes her seat and makes herself comfortable. Seems like this might take a while, but as she starts telling her story her eyes get distant and she get a tranquil and peaceful expression on her face.

“It all began in a small village, or rather a little bit outside the village on a farm, my home. I lived there together with my father and my brothers, my mother had died when I was very young so I have mostly been the only woman in the family... and let’s say I caused quite allot of embarrassing situations for my father, but what can I say, growing up with only boys around you can affect you quite allot. But I don’t complain, it was allot of fun playing with my brothers, but we all slowly grow up and well, boys want to do boy stuff and then we girls can’t always join them. But since there were many farms around were we lived I never needed to feel alone and us girls, we slowly but surely learned how to get the boys attention and make them do what we wanted. It was all fun and games but I think it took its toll on my father, especially when he found me on the loft in the hay with one of the neighbours boys. Not that we had gotten far or did anything you shouldn’t do, at least I wasn’t planning on anything, I promise. I don’t think I wanted to because he wasn’t really good looking or interesting, just wanted to try the limits and see what happened thats all, but you should have seen my father’s face, it was hilarious“
For a second her face turns red as the memories comes back to her but quite quickly she gets a sad look in her eyes as she remembers what happened after it.

“But quite soon my life wasn’t that much fun and games any more.
I think in he’s own way he wanted to shelter me, protect and help me, or perhaps just get me away from boys until he knew what to do with me.”
A quick chuckle leaves her lips, but is quickly replaced with a deeps sigh.

“...but he send me off to school. And sadly, this was not an ordinary school, it was a priest school... for snobby... arrogant... ignorant upper class... girls who never done a day’s real work probably because that would break their precious little nails. “
As she remembers her old classmates her voice is filled with anger and contempt.
“They where pompous, arrogant, nose in the air thinking they were better than anyone else, they simply made life a pain for everyone around them... but then again, very easy to scare.”
A faint smile dances over her lips and her eyes drift off and her voice becomes distance as she says.
“You can’t imagine how much they screamed just because of one little rat who accidently ended up in the mess hall, I promise, I have no idea how it ended up there I mean... I just happened to open the door to his cage where I had put him a few hours before while eating, it was not my fault, I promise. Well, anyway.”

She drinks from her class, puts it back on the table and returns to her story.
“Now you know what kind of school it was, and I hated it. To begin with, I had to act like I was one of them! Since my father had managed to ask for a favour to one of the head teachers whom he had been in war together with and he had given them a big contribution, or if you prefer, bribes, I did my best not to disappoint him so I had to look like I belonged. I had to talk, act, and look like them... I hate royalties... at least now, and at least that kind of royalties. Ok, they thought me cooking, which is useful... but embroidery, sure if you patch up clothes and stuff but who cares about making pretty decorations on a napkin!”
Her voice starts to pitch as she describes the chores she had to do.
“I mean, they could sit there for days and trying to make the perfect little flower on a pillow and make it look just right or as they would say.”
She gets a pompous look in her eyes and with her nose held high and with a posture fitting for royalty she imitates her class mates and sais
“Doesn’t this flower just look utterly delightful, or what do you say my dear?”
After saying it like that she shivers through her entire body and slaps her hands on her knees.
“I can’t understand how people can be like that. And to top it all off, after they were finished with it they threw the pillow away, they weren’t even going to use it. They just makes me so mad sometimes.”

She forces herself to calm down and takes another drink from her glass before continuing with a calmer voice.
“As you can see that place isn’t really my favourite place, although I learned allot about healing and protection...”
A quick smile shows on her lips as she also says
“and about some of the dark arts when no one was watching, at least I thought no one was, my father’s friend decided to teach me just so I wouldn’t destroy the school buildings, although I only broke some windows, don’t know why he got so mad, accidents happens. But yea, that place felt mostly like a prison where I couldn’t be myself and I wasn’t allowed to do anything and the only males around was gray haired old teachers. But everything would soon change.”

As she remembers the end of the school her face is now completely serious, there is no laughs or bitterness in her voice. Something happened and the memory of that makes her speak in a serious tone and focus on her audience.
“After being stuck at that school for years, my freedom finally came. But the freedom did not come in the way I would have wanted it and it came with a horrible price. One evening the scourge attacked the school, I don’t know why or what they wanted, but who knows what the Lich King plans, all I know is that night, the school was set ablaze. Since the school was far away from any major city the hope for support was small, the defence was majorly up to the teachers. They defended it well but they were just too many of the undead abominations attacking us. I can even say I took out some skeletons, although it made them notice me and chased me all over the place. But the teachers managed to gather up the pupils and made everyone who was able to defend the school and each other to the best of our abilities, it is not easy to kill a school where everyone knows more or less how to heal each other. But there were many who was shivering in corners, even among those who had boasted how there holy powers should protect the mighty warriors of Silvermoon when they charged the walls of Icecrown Citadel. But I cannot blame them, they had lived there lives born with a silver spoon in their mouths and where everything was given to them on a silver platter.
But after countless hours of fighting the impossible happened, backup came. It seems the squadron of the scourge had been spotted by scouts and they had already sent troops to deal with them, although it was too late for the school and many of the students they saved many lives, mine included. And I must say, that even though royalties can be arrogant and ignorant, some of them really made a difference that night“

Silence lay it’s wings over the room as she finishes her sentence, she silently empties her glass and looks around at those sitting in the room and listening to her story, and after a few minutes she continues her story with renewed strength.

“So, yes, I am happy that the school was burned down since it allowed me to leave without letting down my father. I became an apprentice of the head teacher who was a friend of my father instead. He knew the truth and it was only together with him I could be myself, he was almost like an uncle to me. But I don’t like the way I got out, I might have hated the place and even if the pupils in there where arrogant and ignorant, they didn’t deserve to die.
So I want to take out the Lich King, because he brings destruction, he destroys the way people live there life. Even though those who were at the school can’t go back to their old life and even though I hate them I want to let people be able to live in a world where it doesn’t hurt too much if they are ignorant, they can live how they want.”
A quick laugh escapes her as she says
“Because it’s much more fun to make fun of royalty if they are a bit weird, and truth be told, they don’t hurt me to much if they let me live on my farm, and my loft, after the wars is over.”

She ends her story with a silent smile, and lets the silence take over the room.

Well done, Torfar Happy

"But the teachers managed to gather up the pupils and made everyone who was able to defend the school and each other to the best of our abilities, it is not easy to kill a school where everyone knows more or less how to heal each other."

Hehe. Word to that.

Colorful story! Good. Happy

Nofretiri actually reminds me a bit of Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. They share some personality traits. Happy

As I said above, she's a character from the book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. (Probably also in the book Pride and Prejudice, but I haven't forced myself to read that one. It's most likely not as good without the Zombies. Cute)

(On a sidenote: Natalie Portman is - according to rumors - going to play said Elizabeth in the upcoming movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1374989/)
